The minister of the Italian Republic does not like the National Anthem for the words "slaves of Rome" and he can t stand such a provocation.....
......

beh.... Well .... nel 1970 ero un giovane impiegato in una grossa ditta di trasporti nazionali ed internazionali in quel di Pordenone ed il mio lavoro consisteva nel far girare i nostri camions possibilmente mai vuoti........ in 1970 I was a young employee in a large firm national and international transport in Pordenone and my job was to deal our trucks never empty ........ trovare camions se il carico eccedeva il mio parco macchine in zona e /o viceversa …to find trucks for exceeding my fleet loads in the area and / or vice versa
Director told me.. "Not to waste time with the drivers under Rome ......... They not ever rise above Rome ...... you can try only with large companies" and never asked why I ?...... " sopra Roma l'autostrada si paga !" "You have to pay highway fee norther of Rome!"
I thought it was a joke and I believed until the past night when I saw the report on the saga of neverending story about the highway” Salerno Reggio Calabria“.
Forget out the story (I have never been south of Cassino and Sora) and come to the present day ....... beh...... Well ...... sapete dove finisce sta' autostrada? you know where it ends this Highway? in centro a Reggio, un cartello di fine Autostrada e di caselli per i pedaggi neanche l'ombra, downtown Reggio, !! Any Highway toll station,
mai costruiti......... Never built .........
From South Udine to Udine north (a few km) are 40 cents ...... but the junction of Treviso seems even better ........ pochi metri e fanno 1.70 euro.non male few yards and 1.70 euro are to be paid ........not bad
Maybe those who are shocked with the finger of Bossi would do well to think a little 'about it ........ or not?

What is origin of chickens - Alle origini del pollo

Red Junglefowl (Gallus Gallus)
All varieties of domestic chickens, including the game fowl, are scientifically regarded as descendants of the Red Jungle Fowl (Fumihito, et al). The Red Jungle Fowl is a native of Southeast Asia. These birds have existed for tens of thousands of years in their natural habitat. Their contemporary wild relatives carry on the autonomous social organization and behavior of their ancestors.

What is the origin of banana?

well......Bananas were first cultivated in South-east Asia. Possibly the first domestication of bananas took place in the New Guinea highlands, though it's likely the banana was domesticated multiple times in the region. Over time, banana cultivation spread to mainland Asia and Africa. It started to be cultivated by Europeans in the 15th century and spread to the new world. Modern sweet bananas are a new variety that was discovered in the 1800s; the older bananas are less sweet and are also known as plantains

Laos

Here people is friendly and kind, very similar to Thai peoples, maybe less smiling but less aggressive offering their proposal....everything always whispering, who is used with thai Tuktuk drivers in Thailand should pay attention if he needs a taxi........
Lao language seems to descend from khmer and sure is root for modern Thai even if Thai peoples do NOT agree with me.
Who loves Thailand here will find a place looking like Thailand 3 or even 4 decades ago.
Nice spot indeed

Old Folks Are Funny Too

An elderly couple went to a doctor.
The man said, "We want to know if we are making love properly. Will you look at us?"
"Go ahead," said the doctor.
They made love. "You are making love perfectly," the doctor said. "That will be $10."
They came back six weeks in a row and did the same thing. On the seventh visit the doctor said, "What are you coming here like this for--I told you you are making love
properly!"
"She can't come to my house," said the man, "and I can't go to her house. A motel costs $20. You charge us $10 and we get $8 back from Medicare."

Dentist

A man walks into the dentist's office and after the dentist examines him, he says, "that tooth has to come out. I'm going to give you a shot of Novocain and I'll be back in a few minutes." The man grabs the doc's arm, "no way. I hate needles I'm not having any shot!" So the dentist says, "okay, we'll have to go with the gas." The man replies, "absolutely not. It makes me very sick for a couple of days. I'm not having gas." So the dentist steps out and comes back with a glass of water, "here," he says. "Take this pill." The man asks "What is it?" The doc replies, "Viagra." The man looks surprised, "will that kill the pain?" he asks. "No," replies the dentist, "but it will give you something to hang on to while I pull your tooth."

Co_gnomi?

The etyimology of the name.

Lot of people thinks that the Degrassi family name traces back from a nickname of family such " dei Grassi tr:of the Fat people " or similar; personal opinion and the knowledge of Venetian dialect lets me inclined to think that goes back to the Latin " Deo Gratias " (transl: to the grace of God - Venetian pronounces deograsia with " s " sweet like in the word " rose "and during centuries the dopple vocals "eo" and "ia" become simplified by apocope) with the same meaning of the Neapolitan " Esposito ", in Florence" DegliEsposti ", than in Genoa and in Milan becomes " Colombo ". They are the names that was given to the foundlings who remained esposed on the steps of the churches, to the Grace of God or carried by the pigeon (colombo)
